It takes 23 pairs of hands to make a Tilley hat, a precise and practiced process. From the time our founder decided to oversee the creation of the ideal hat that could do everything he needed – stay on in wind, be unsinkable, last indefinitely, protect from the elements and still look attractive – we’ve been so committed to quality that we guarantee most of our hats for life against normal wear and tear.
