Netherton foundry is a small Family run business based in Shropshire producing great pans and cookware as sustainably as possible.
Pans are made using a spun technique. A disc of iron about 3mm thick is centred, spun at high speed and shaped on a former then handles and knobs are added for the finishing touches. The pans are lighter than cast iron but just as durable and super easy to clean and keep seasoned. They come pre-seasoned and get even better with use. They
are made by hand and so measurements are approximate and no two are identical. Perfect for range stoves, open fires, electric, gas, ceramic, halogen & induction hobs.
The 10" glamping pan is our favourite pan at home and goes with us on every camping trip.Netherton Foundry Aim to:-- Design and build quality products made from materials sourced in Shropshire and its neighbouring counties reducing wasteful shipping of materials around the globe. Presently, more than 75% of their product's value achieves this objective and they are constantly aiming to do better.
- Reduce their impact on this fragile planet by building products that will last, from materials they trust.
- Develop local supply partners and use sustainable materials.
- Use finishes and materials that can be restored and even improve with age.
- Be easily repaired with simple tools. We will ensure spare parts are available.
- Be packed in readily recyclable packaging, which ensures the product arrives fit for use.
IMPORTANT -- Every time you use the pan heat SLOWLY from a LOW setting, before selecting high or full power.
- Never drop a hot pan into cold water (it will buckle).
- Use a hob/ring the same size as the pan base (small hobs/rings will warp big pans).
- Netherton pans are hand made and will not be a flat as a billiard table so they may wobble on induction hobs.
- Wash in hot water. We suggest that you do not usesoap, and definitely do not usedetergents. Immediately dry with a towel.
