Bridgedale no longer wet process socks which has reduced their water usage from 35000 gallons per week to 100 gallons or less. They have changed all the lighting in the production process to LED lights and this has reduced the energy required to illuminate the workplace by 69% with a resultant annual saving of 22,000kgs of CO2

Bridgedale send some sock waste to a local manufacturer of Marine safety equipment who use it as wipes during the manufacture of inflatable lifeboats.The rest is donated to a Cancer research Charity for conversion into funding.
