This robust full-tang knife is built to be strong and versatile, perfect for bushcraft, survival, hunting, and general outdoor use in the woods. It is a very sturdy knife that you can use to skin a moose as well as carve hard wood or split smaller logs with.
The No.10 Swedish Forest Knife was the first bushcraft knife that Casstrom designed and produced. Now in its 10th year and still popular with outdoorsfolk the world over, the current version features a uniquely designed ergonomic handle that people who use the knife regularly absolutely adore.
It’s a knife you can put through its paces, and feel confident that it won’t let you down. That reassuring reliability is everything on a trip into the wilderness.
The blade is about 10cm long and made from approx. 4mm thick
Uddeholm Sleipner (Non-stainless), heat treated to achieve a hardness of 58-60 HRC. The knife is sharpened with a Scandinavian grind. The blade has a satin finish.
The handle is 12cm long green linen Micarta laminate, and is constructed with black liners between the handle scales and steel, to increase durability over time . The handle is secured with strong brass rivets which gives it a great classic look.
The knife comes with a very sturdy black knife sheath made from 3mm thick vegetable tanned leather. The sheaths have an extra wide belt loop, an opening in the bottom for liquid, and a hole for a lanyard strap.

The addition of almost 8% chromium offers better stain resistance in comparison to other carbon steels (although it should be pointed out that it is not stainless steel, and is not resistant to staining or corrosion).
